<description>Dense and denumerable ordered sets - paradoxical objects ? Milan, Italie), Viviane Durand-Guerrier (IMAG, CNRS, univ. Montpellier, France), Abstract. How is it possible that an infinite set is both dense and countable? This intriguing question from a student led us to explore what could have originated it (Branchetti and Durand-Guerrier 2018). We will give the main elements of the epistemological analysis that we conducted as a prolegomenon for our didactic study. We will then justify our choice to place ourselves in the cognitive perspective of the articulation between concept image and concept definition (Tall &amp; Vinner 1981). We will then give the concept-images and conceptdefinitions that we have identified and retained for our empirical study. We will finally present our main results and open on the implications in terms of curriculum Résumé. Branchetti, L., &amp; Durand-Guerrier, V. (2018). Are all denumerable sets of numbers order-isomorphic?
